Walk-in Bath Case Study

Mrs D had recently had a knee operation which meant that lifting her leg over the side of the bath was a struggle and getting up after having a bath even more so. Mrs D really enjoys having a bath and didn’t want her mobility challenges to affect her daily routines and pleasures.

The Aim

To provide Mrs D with a bathing solution that meant the strain on her knees was minimised and pleasures maintained.

Our Solution

We were able to come up with the ideal solution that included the Stowbridge bath being installed in place of the old bath whilst still leaving existing tiles. The Stowbridge was felt to be the right solution as it included a low level access entry through the door and a lift that would assist Mrs D stand up once her bath was complete.
